WAREHOUSE OPERATOR

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the warehouse operator is responsible to the timely, accurate and safe unloading and storage of raw material and despatch of finished product.

-          Unload containers in a time efficient and safe manner

-          Ensure accurate scanning of all incoming and outgoing goods

-          Ensure raw materials are stored in accurate locations

-          Ensure there is a constant supply of material into production

-          Ensure all paperwork is accurately completed and records are promptly updated

-          Escalate any concerns with the quality of raw materials upon receipt to the plant

-          Be a champion for health and safety in the plant

-          Operate Counterbalance Forklift and clamp trucks in a safe manner

-          Complete periodic safety checks on warehouse equipment, including FLT, scales and scanners

-          Ensure effective communications between production and warehouse personnel

-          Maintain high levels of housekeeping in the warehouse area

 

The most suitable candidate should have:

-          Experience working in a busy warehouse environment

-          Experience opening a Counterbalance Forklift Truck

-          Hold a valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (though refresher training can be arranged)

-          Experience using scanning equipment

Benefits

-          40 hours per week

-          20 days holidays

-          Starting salary : DOE, starting salary 28K plus 12% Shift Allowance
